I’m sure 2017 wasn’t the best for many of us. Perhaps for others it was the best year they’ve ever had, whether it was good financially, socially, or spiritually.
However your 2017 was, hopefully 2018 will be even better–and it will be better. Make sure your new-year resolutions aren’t too crazy. Baby-steps, baby-steps! Enjoy your time with family, friends, or alone (whether you’re glad to be alone or not), and have a fantastic new year!
Don’t forget to find DeGrathier on twitter, facebook, or by hitting that shiny button, as posts will be coming much more frequently. E-book chapters, anime, TV-show, movie and more reviews, real stories, advice, and so much more to come 🙂 !
It’s kind of like we’re viewed as aliens sent from another planet.
Obviously, we don’t interact with others much. We hardly say a word to anyone, and to someone who enjoys the company of others often, this puzzles extroverts. Are they antisocial? They might ask themselves. Do they have any friends? Why don’t they talk more? They don’t have to be shy. Why doesn’t she go out with us and have a good time? If I was stuck in the house all day, I’d go insane.
These are the questions I had to answer over and over as I was growing up and in socially-required environments such as family gatherings and job opportunities. I cannot tell you how many times I had to explain myself for something I simply do naturally–actually, I’m so caught up in my own world that I hardly notice that I’m not participating in the group or not interacting in general. If anything, I participate in conversations using my mind without realizing it and forget that I have to actually use my vocal cords.
A good number of us fall in love for the first time at a young age. Some of us don’t know what love is until later on in life. There’s even some of us who thought they were in love, but it was really passion that was relieved by a few good nights of wine and soft sheets.
Love can be a tricky thing. The word itself has been used so many times that it has lost its value completely. Yet, love can have different meanings towards different people.
To scientists and realists, love is simply a chemical reaction in the brain that gives us humans the drive to procreate with suitable mates. To the rest of us, love is a strong desire for someone we care about.
